Water Storage Containers

Water storage is a big part of preparedness. One method of water storage to consider is using 275 gallon containers. Each tote weighs 130 lbs. Dimensions of the totes are 48"x40"x46". These totes are the same capacity as five 55 gallon blue barrels, but in the footprint of 4 barrels. They can be stacked two high. These totes are transparent to sunlight so they will need to be darkened to prevent the growth of algae.

Many people are using them for the collection of rain water that could be used for gardens, washing, or filtered drinking at a time of drought or emergency. If you plan to use the totes for rain water using down spouts please view the videos below.
